Seha plans to recruit 60 new employees
Abu Dhabi:

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), the emirate’s largest public healthcare provider, said it plans to hire 60 new employees in the corporate office during the next twelve months, up nearly 150 per cent from last year’s targets.

Seha made the announcement during the 'Tawdheef 2010,' one of the largest career fairs hosted during the spring semester at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The company also unveiled three new recruitment programs at Tawdheef.

These internal programs are catered to specific demographics in the UAE and have been developed as a way to nurture talent while providing opportunities for vertical career movement, said a senior official.

The 'Edad program' is designed specifically to help high school and diploma graduates identify career opportunities starting with entry-level jobs within administration and other support departments.

Those with more education and work experience are placed within the 'Tamayoz program,' which has been created to assist individuals with a higher diploma or bachelor degree in developing their capacity within non-medical departments such as accounting, human resources, marketing, and others.

An elite group of applicants placed within the Naqla program are provided with the resources necessary to enter into managerial positions and further advance their skills set as experienced industry professionals.

“Our participation in Tawdheef is an important part of our social responsibility to promote emiratization and to support students and graduates as they pursue future careers,” said Mohamed Al Hameli, chief officer of Corporate Support Services at Seha.

“We recognize the importance of providing a platform for employment opportunities for UAE nationals, and we are actively implementing Emiratization initiatives to increase the number of well-trained, qualified Emirates employed by Seha,” he noted.

'Every one of Seha’s 12 hospitals is being represented at Tawdheef as managers and frontline staff provide visitors with detailed information about how the company’s latest recruitment initiatives will be implemented in 2010,' he added.

Seha HR manager Saeed Al Dhaheri said Tawdheef was a great platform to reach out to job seekers of all ages and backgrounds.

“When people think of Seha as a company, they often just think of doctors and other hospital staff,” said Al Dhaheri.  “While these individuals are a major part of Seha’s success, there is also a strong corporate office supporting these medical practitioners, and this team is now growing at a tremendous rate,” he noted.

Seha enjoys a market share of about 80 per cent of Abu Dhabi’s inpatient admissions and about 60 per cent of its outpatient visits, operating a total of 12 hospitals, 62 ambulatory and primary healthcare clinics, and two blood banks in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhaheri added.-TradeArabia News Service
